Columbus, OH

The Ohio State University is the model 21st-century public, land grant, research, urban, community-engaged institution. At Ohio State, we champion human potential through unrivaled experiences that bring together expertise, ideas and resources wherever we are. Through these dynamic and connected experiences, human potential blossoms in unexpected ways. As a community, we empower people to envision the unimagined, advance innovations and solve unrelenting problems at a scale few others can match — propelling humanity forward.

Together, we build vibrant communities believing anything is possible — and create lasting impact far greater than any one person could accomplish alone. As an engaged community of advocates, mentors, leaders, caregivers, innovators and citizens, we elevate the human experience and inspire others to do the same.

At Ohio State, BioEYES is housed in the Department of Molecular Genetics in the College of Arts and Sciences. BioEYES provides classroom-based learning opportunities through the use of live zebrafish. The program is designed to foster enthusiasm for science by giving students opportunities to explore science through watching life develop firsthand. The program also seeks to empower teachers by providing opportunities for professional development and a co-teaching experience with trained science consultants.
