The Pennsylvania Society for Biomedical Research,
Philadelphia, PA
The Pennsylvania Society for Biomedical Research (PSBR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit science education organization formed in 1990 to foster a better public awareness of the importance of biomedical research and the contributions it makes to human and animal health. PSBR carries out this mission by providing in-class activities and presentations that support K-16 science and healthcare education, as well as meaningful career awareness and professional development opportunities. Between 2012 and 2018, PSBR’s science outreach efforts engaged more than 26,000 students, 2,200 teachers, and countless members of the public. Through a variety of educational materials, programs, and in-class activities that now incorporate Project BioEYES, our goal is to educate today’s students so they can become future scientists, engaged citizens, and champions of biomedical research!
